Super Bowl Sunday at the EI
I am a frequent visitor. I will not start off with the lay of the land because that is previously discussed. My other half seemed to be on the war path right before the Super Bowl so I pulled the emergency plug and drove down to the EI. Arrived around 5pm and parked across the street. Did my normal recon prior to entering, only ONE dancer was entering. This was looking like a bad idea. Around 5:45 pm some dancers were arriving. But I did not notice any cars from my "regulars" in the parking lot. Bad indicator- must be home baby sitting while there old man bolted, like me..lol. Around 6:15 things were picking up decided to go in. Entrance fee was $20.00, talk about special events. So rather than a blow by blow , here is a summary. The dances are $5.00 per song all day on Sunday, it was even announced. For the most part the records were on automatic play, no DJ. Really got my moneys worth. About 10 dancers but most were new to me. One dancer was playing the wifey role-- ask me questions about the super bowl- the score, who sang the anthem, etc. I failed the test. She says oh so your were not watching, I asked her to get out of here. Bonus free food - wings, potato salad, bread, etc. So after about three hours of almost constant grinding, "some" football watching, and eating I was ready to depart. I was offered VIP by two of the ladies, but I declined. I was not in the mood to experiment and spoil the night. I rather wait for my regulars. This place is hit or miss. But I had fun and lost track of time, left during half time. The pop quiz by that dancer helped me when I arrived back home, passed the test..:-). I had to put "Willie" on injury reserve the next day. Just a little bit too much grinding. I shall return.
