Hopping on Friday night

I'd never been to Pandora's before, so I thought I'd branch out and give it a try. Got there a little after 9pm on Friday night, and the place was… well, not quite packed, but the parking lot sure was. I had to park across the street, which really isn't near any crosswalks, and across a busy 4-lane road. $10 cover at the door, and you're immediately handed off to a waitress for your $5 mandatory drink. The club is pretty spacious and clean, with two stages in the main area — a smaller one where the girls go up first, and then the larger "main" stage that they dance at again right after. A ring of seats and benches surround the stage area, with a deeper section of seating off to the right of the stages, on your way to Playland. Playland itself is the private dance area with something less than 20 deep seats arranged in rows. Once you're in there, the layout feels pretty private; though the manager occasionally comes through, but I only saw her once during my couple of hours there. The clientele seemed to be a good mix, with everybody pretty well behaved. The DJ was solid, and the music was an oddly eclectic mix (which I appreciated), at least earlier in the evening.

The girls were all very attractive, most in the 6–8 range, and a good mix of ethnicities. At this club, every girl sets her own price for the dances, so it's worth asking her price before you agree to go to the back. Most seem to be $30 or $40, but the $40s often seem to have a 3-for-$100 deal. Got dances from five girls, the first a blonde in a yellow bikini who was strong on the hustle, and broke through my first few minutes of "just browsing." (There was a decent amount of hustle all night, but only one other hard sell gal, so it wasn't too bad.) The second was… I don't remember at the moment. There was one gal in a leopard-print one-piece who had kind of an older Bettie Page vibe going on, and who seemed to really know the ropes at the club (interesting chat during the dance), a short Asian gal in a lacy black dress who was relentlessly cheerful (but also gave a great dance), and a Blade Runner-esque skinny bleach blonde with dreadlocks who showed me a very good time.

Definitely would return. Pretty good value for the money, comfortable environment, and a number of dancers that were just my type.
