The only game in town
The dancers at Sid's are mostly black and range from 5s to 8s. I have frequented this club often over the years, but will only focus on my last visit. Arriving around 10, I was first reminded that I have to leave my coat in my car as you cannot wear it in the club. I complied and returned to a very thorough pat down, walk through a metal detector and another thorough pat down. The inside of the club is small, but most of this is due to the layout of the club. The bar is extremely large and in the center of the club, with the stage along two walls. There are tables around the bar, three or four high tables with chairs for two people at each, and three booths that sit very low compared to the stage and appear to have been purchased from a Waffle House after they remodeled. There is some seating around the bar, but this is extremely limited.
The club is only open three nights a week, so it gets pretty crowded when the crowd comes in. I ordered a mixed drink and received a decent drink in a plastic cup. I paid six or seven dollars for Bacardi, which was fine.
It wasn't long before it was standing room only. The dancers are mostly young and fairly attractive, but not very personable. This may be attributed to the clientele. The young, thug crowd is the majority. None of dancers made me want to get a private dance, which are done in a separate room.
Overall, Sid's is only okay if you feel like "slumming it" for the night. The club is poorly arranged and feels dirty. There must have been an issue with people getting too handsy with the dancers, because there are several signs (hand-made and full of grammatical errors) that point out that one is not to touch the dancers while onstage. I left with way too much money in my pocket.
