Friday night

Was leaving downtown Raleigh on a Friday night a few weeks ago and since I had a free pass I decided to make a detour to Ricks. I arrived around 9pm and left a few hours later. The door man gave me a quick hello then handed the pass to the front girl and I went in.

I needed a quick bathroom visit and noticed it was roped off and a bouncer guarding it. He showed the other rest room in the old Vinnie’s which is much smaller but otherwise fine. I later learned a pipe had burst and they were doing clean up.

Was maybe 20 or so girls and about the same number of customers when I arrived. Was probably about 30 some girls and maybe 60 or so customers when I left. Tipped a few girls on stage and none of them really impressed me. A few years ago for a $1 or $2 tip you could get a nice grind now they just dance a few feet away take your tip and that’s it. They just want to make it rain guys to toss money in the air and move on. Finally a girl I knew come over brought her a drink and we talked. Everything was good until it was time for a dance. I was reluctantly going to pay the $50 she charged last time but she now wanted $60 and I was like no. She did go we can do $50 but I figured I wouldn’t get her best so I declined. Stayed about another 30 minutes before calling it a night.
