Ho-Hum Time
I went to the club in the early afternoon a few days after new years. The club was dead and the door man did not charge a cover, although he did require me to check my coat (no charge). Inside the club there was only one other customer, and a total of three or four dancers. I grabbed a beer which was reasonably priced. The dancers were doing stage shows, but weren't really y taking much off. I saw two white dancers and one AA. All of them looked decent. The AA girl had the best body and was the best dancer. I ended up being drawn to a skinny brunette with some tattoos. I tipped her on stage and she came and sat by me. She kept up a decent conversation. The up-time special was decent, I think two songs for 25, but I can't remember. So i took it. To her credit the dancer made plenty of contact and mixed things up. I was barely touching her on her sides and the bouncer came to warn me to back off. I was pretty put off by it. Given how dead they were and how little I was doing, it seemed excessive. Still not the girls fault and the dance ended up being alright.
In the end the club felt safe, the girls were decent looking and active, and the prices were okay. I wish there were more contact, but I think that is par for the course in Columbus.
