Club Bristol is listed as being in Sun Prairie, which is nearly adjacent to Madison to the northeast. However it is further than that, out north past Sun Prairie and west of Bristol. Getting there feels like a hike into nowhere, with a drive down the highway and then down a country road through some farm fields. In the end, the trip time was not all that much longer than going to Silk out west of Middleton - maybe 20 minutes or so from the east side of Madison. The club itself is pretty modest, an unremarkable building on a country-road corner. The parking wraps around the building and is not terribly well lit, though it didn't feel too unsafe.

The cover charge was $7 (signs said this went up to $15 after 11pm). My Coke was $4 (and larger than usual). Inside the club is relatively small, with a low ceiling and a bit of a run-down vibe. The bar runs the length of the place, with stools against it. Across a small space is the stage area, which is a half-circle at floor level with one pole. This is surrounded by seats and a ledge. This low wall around the performance area obscured the view of the dancers if you were sitting at the bar. Even sitting at the seats around the stage, you can't always see the dancer. Floor to ceiling mirrors behind the area helped with this (and because the space was so small you could see things pretty well there). The dancers would hop up on the ledge to give boobs in the face and other minor interactions. The space is too small and the ceiling too low for anything remotely acrobatic on the pole, and most of even the dancing was pretty minimal.

When I first arrived around 10:30pm, most of the dancers were African American or Latina. As time went on, more dancers showed up and about half were Caucasian. The dancers did not have a lot of enthusiasm, though this seemed at least partly because the club was fairly slow. Several of them commiserated with me that it was "dead", even after it had picked up a bit. The first two dancers I saw were not thrilling - one pretty heavy and the other rail thin. Others were pretty nice, though, with some really fantastic legs on a few.
