Stilettos is in it's death throes

Went last Friday expecting to be good as everybody is ut with their paycheck in hand and wants to get drunk and rowdy with topless chicks. But as soon as me and a friend got in we got hit with a five dollar cover charge, when we were told that there was no cover before 7pm. Not wanting to cause a scene we just paid. Really dark in there, but we noticed that there were less than ten people in there. We chose a table near the center dance floor and asked for a bucket and gave the waitress a twenty. She never came back with the change, but seeing that she was the only waitress and that we were going to ask for another I just waited for when i called her back. Sure enough she comes and informs us that thew buckets are twenty bucks during "happy hour" and thirty bucks after seven! Damn! During this time we kept waiting for dancers to come out and hit the floor asking for table dances from the patrons, but no, it seemed that there were only about four girls and they pretty much kept to the dressing room and the VIP room. My friend said do not worry the second shift should be coming in soon and I bet they are a the best dancers the club has. So we waited and paid for overpriced buckets, but again we were disappointed, It must have been like ten thirty and we still had the same four dancers in rotation. It would appear that the club does not have any dancers and that is why the place remained almost empty throughout our stay there. Maybe the general manager does not care enough to hire more dancers or won't hire them until they have more customers. But they will not get more customers unless they bring more dancers, that's a vicious cycle. It was just weird that being the ONLY topless club in Brownsville and it being a Friday evening the place was almost empty, with only four dancers. Weird, how can they afford the overhead?
