Diamond Dolls used to be my favorite club in the Daytona Beach area. After a disappointing Saturday afternoon visit, I will add with some hesitation that it still is my favorite club in the area. Previously, I had visited Diamond Dolls several times during weekday day and night shifts and on Saturday afternoons. This review covers a recent Saturday afternoon visit. On Saturdays, the dances are $10 a song from 12N to 7PM, no entrance fees and one drink minimum. Compared to the past visits, I'm disappointed with the talent on that day. Facilities, including dance stage and VIP rooms, are good for a medium size club. On this Saturday visit, there were only 3 dancers and about 5 customers. All the dancers were older and mediocre in appearance. I hung around the club for about 2 hrs, hoping that new talent will show up. None came before I left. This is the first time I left DD without getting VIP dances. For Saturday visits (perhaps other shifts as well) be more enjoyable and attractive for customers, the Club should have a mechanism to schedule enough good mix of dancers. This should be a condition of working there. The club does not serve meals and hence without talent there is no good reason to visit (unless you are there exclusively for drinks). As has been stated Saturday afternoon dance prices are $10 per song and on regular days private dance prices are $20 a song. Multiple dances can be had at 2 for $30 (depends on dancer). There are also champagne rooms for $125 for 15 min. VIP rooms are private with screens. Therefore, there is seldom any need for champagne rooms. It should be noted that songs are about 3 minutes and not the full 5 min the typical club play. This should be taken into account when figuring out dance prices and comparing them to other Florida clubs. Based on my numerous visits to this club it is the best club in town and perhaps one of the best values in Florida. In spite of a disappointing last visit, I will definitely visit again (perhaps it takes multiple disappointing visits for me not to visit!). However, the club deficiently needs infusion of younger talent and a mechanism to distribute the available talents to various shifts. Management should give the dancers a mutually agreed schedule so that you do not end up with three mediocre dancers in a shift. This does not provide much choices to customers.
