Goldfingers Wednesday night review
Let me preface this review by saying that the only reason I still come to this club is that it's close to where a friend lives and he's too lazy to drive to any of the other San Diego clubs or go to TJ.
I have no idea what's happened to this club in the last 6 months, but it's not good. There were 4 girls working tonight, none above a 6. The girls just moved from one guy to the next trying to get any guy to go to the back with them and it just wasn't happening because they were so pathetic with their "wanna a dance". Instead of getting them up on the stage, the manager just left the stage empty for 15 minutes at a time before calling one of them up to do a 2 song set. He must have thought that having them circulate amongst the 8 customers was better than having them on stage as a way to try sell dances, which was stupid because everyone was bored out of their mind with the long intermissions between girls on stage and all the guys were just watching the TVs.
I don't know if management is having a hard time recruiting or retaining dancers but they have to do something/anything to improve this club. Anyway, I realized right away that it was a mistake to stay but it took 20 minutes to convince my friend to go someplace else. I don't care if he doesn't want to go to any of the other San Diego clubs, but I'm not coming back to this one anymore.
