In general, Babes is my favorite club in Jackson, though that is not saying much. I have recently had bad experiences, consistently, at Danny's, so there's really only one other choice. (Centerfolds is a bit too down-market for me, and my pasty white skin makes me stand out there, and although there isn't much racial animostity among the dancers or staff, some patrons are too tough for me to mingle with.) At Babes you get a down-home feel, with a lot of friendly conversation between dancers and patrons. Lots of people buying girls drinks and hanging with them all night long, which is cool for the atmosphere but frustrating if you want to meet some of them and maybe private-dance them, since they'll never be torn away from the guy with the Vodka. By the way, you can bring your own bottle of liquor to mix with their $4.50 "set up" soft drink, as is the Jackson ordinance, or you can buy their beers and coolers. I have been to the clubs in enough cities, and to all the clubs in Jackson, long enough to know that this one has survived on the basis of "customer service," meaning that they run the place sensibly, don't let anyone scam the customers, and keep a tight ship, but the adult market in Jackson is simply so small that anyone who has been to a club in a real city -- Houston, Miami, New York -- will be disappointed not only by the quality of the women, but also by the overall service and availability. Babes is doing the best it can for Jackson, and is consequently Jackson's best; but that's still only average. I'd rate it a 5 if it were in another city, but here it gets topo marks. Recently the women have slid down the scale of attractiveness a bit -- I remember a year or two ago, when nearly everyone there was a young, lithe, supple thing, firmly in the 7.5-or-better category. Now there are just too many fatties, and I don't mean "naturally big boned girls." I mean fatties. So the ranking is slipping. I'm surprised more Katrina refugees aren't pumping up the business here, and I had thought the demographics would change to the benefit of the adult services shopper, but that has not been the case. In addition, I have seen some girls wear pasties recently, though some don't. It seems to depend on the dancer.
