Follies (nighttime edition)

I visited Follies for the first time during thanksgiving week. I went twice, Monday at night and then Tuesday afternoon. My afternoon review was published on Nov. 27. This is a review of my Monday evening visit and as others have said, Follies is a substantially different place at night, warranting separate reviews.

I arrived about 945p via Uber. Parking lot was pretty full and saw a couple of guys walking across the street after parking in the shopping center parking lot. Gone was the pat down by the door girl. Instead, I was patted down by a (presumably off duty) cop decked out in some pretty heavy body armor. It certainly gave me a quick moment's hesitation about the atmosphere, but that's it.

After paying the cover and heading inside, I looked for a seat at the high tops based on the reviews here but none were to be had. I headed to the mostly empty bar and sat there, ordering a beam and Coke. I don't remember the price but I ultimately switched to coors lights as a much better value. As I remember, the beers were a few bucks cheaper than the mixed drinks, which were also pretty weak.
