Sat @ STARZ late November

Hadn't been here since the "remodeling" and many of the girls were dancing @ KHVIII, the sister club. The hours now start @9pm. No early evenings. Same ol' same ol' in terms of being wanded in at the entrance. The decor looked a little updated but nothing big caught my eye except maybe upstairs the furniture in the nude stage is cleaner and there were some folding chairs along the wall before you enter the lap area. That night I got dances from FANTASY, a petite but curvy girl with a soft as and pretty face, ROYCE, a fair skin, voluptuous girl with a big booty that's kind of chatty, and PHOENIX, a mixed chick with light teak skin and a hard body with curves and small '60's radical afro. Royce gave me a good deep grind. We're very familiar with each other's "buttons." She was called onto stage so we stopped and she said we had done 3 dances which felt right to me. I paid the bar guy and she hurried downstairs. PHOENIX was okay but the thing that struck me during the dance was that she stopped in what seemed to be the middle of the song and asked me if I wanted to continue. I told her it was the middle of a song. She said the do it by time now instead how they used to count songs. Curious, we stopped, and I went and asked the counter how many songs he counted and he said, "One." I paid him and then walked away. Maybe I was mistaken on when the song began. So I decided to test what was happening. I got with FANTASY and we walked into the booth at what we both thought was the end of one song. The song didn't really end but bled into another song so we started and after what I thought was four songs, we stopped. When I went to pay the bar guy he quoted a price that suggested that I'd done 6 dances and I told him that wasn't my count and that I didn't have that much so he said just give him the money for the four dances. I did but this whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth. How are they really counting dances now? Are they just arbitrarily pulling out a number and charging? This seems very shady to me. I'm not coming back to STARZ until I get an answer to this question. I asked a lot of folks that night but no one gave me an answer that sounded right. Couldn't find my man, Mike, who works there and is always straight with me. Wondering if anybody else who comes to this club has noticed this difference.
