A great club to visit

My business travels took me back to Detroit. This time, my meeting ended on a Friday afternoon, so I decided to spend the night and leave the next morning. This gave me a bit more time to explore, so I decided to give the Penthouse Club a try. I've heard great things about it.

Anyway, I was staying near the airport, so I hopped in my rental car. It took me close to 40 minutes to get there, and I have to say I was a bit nervous because the area did not feel entirely safe, especially since it was very dark when I finally got there around 8pm. There did not appear to be an option to self park, so I used the valet. The fee was about $7, but the guy was courteous, and since it was a rental I wasn't too worried. I hate to pay valet, but the only other option seemed to be parking at a nearby fast food place and walking.

Anyway, this is a really nice facility. When you walk in, there was a very large bounce and a lovely lady taking money. Cover was $10. When you walk in the club, there is a bar on the side and a bunch of tables and booths, with a long stage in the middle. The furnishings here were top notch. Probably the nicest I've seen. There are even motorcycles hanging from the ceiling, which is not the reason to come here, but is still something you don't see every day. If I had to gripe, it would be that the stage is really long, so if you like a dancer and want to watch I could see her being stuck on the other side of the stage. This did not happen, but I'm just saying I prefer smaller stages.
