Other reviews indicated disappointments and recommended not going, so I had to go because it is in my nature to defy the odds. That and I like Latin women. So with low expectations, I went to HP.

It was Saturday night and parking is on the street and hard to find, as the street and the tiny lot behind the club was full, I thought the club would be busy. I was lucky enough to find a spot in front on the main street of the club, so I did not feel that the vehicle or I personally were at any risk, although there was an abundance of males hanging around on the streets a few of which were looking a little sketchy.

Through the door and a quick scan showed a small club with a single stage, a bar attended by an older, female bartender, 6PLs, and 4 dancers. I was greeted by the doorman/bouncer who had what looked like an authentic city PD badge dangling from his neck. It was a little too dark to tell for sure as I am not familiar with the Redwood City LEOs and I did not see a gun or other weapons, but he looked authentic. Paid a $6 cover and received an admittance ticket. No pat down. No wand. No ID check.
