Pulse: probably worth a visit, but not on a weekday afternoon

Business brought me to the Peoria area on a recent Thursday evening and Friday, so I thought I would give Pulse a try to complete my tour of the Peoria strip club scene, having previously visited Club Cabaret (twice), Elliott's (twice), and Big Al's (once). Pulse opens at 4pm, but I've learned from long experience that there is little reason to show up within the first hour that a club is open, so I arrived at 5:15 -- still too early! There were only five or six girls working and the energy level was very low. Advantages of my early arrival, on the other hand, included: no cover, no DJ, and happy hour prices on drinks -- domestic beers were $2!

I watched the entire rotation of (eventually) six dancers, of whom four were white and two black, and chatted and drank with a very friendly veteran stripper who was just starting again at Pulse after dancing for several years at Club Cabaret. After I bought our first round, she sprang for the second -- the first time a stripper has ever bought me a drink! She talked me into doing a couple of $20 lap dances, which were nude and quite hands-on and took place in an excessively dark back room I am both visually and tactilely stimulated and want to *see* her whom I'm groping!

Next I got a couple more dances from a much newer, prettier, and bustier girl who, however, kept her panties on and tended to fend my hands off when I tried to grab her large natural breasts. Normally a dancer who's averse to some fairly innocent touching is a "one and done", but her boobs, like Teri Hatcher's on "Seinfeld", were real and they were spectacular, so I got a second dance.
