Nice performances at the Palomino
The Palomino in Las Vegas is a bit further from the strip and significantly smaller than the Sapphire, another club I visited in LV. Like many (most?) clubs in Vegas, they offer a free shuttle (at least partly to avoid paying cabbies the extra bribe demanded for delivering customers). However, if you're traveling alone, Palomino won't send their shuttle. You either need to convince them to let you ride with some other pick-ups or take a cab (about $30). If you take a cab, you'll get charged a higher entrance fee. I took the cab to "Jerry's Nugget", an old casino right across the street from Palomino. This pissed off the cabbie a bit, but saved me the entrance fee when I walked over to Palomino.
The club has one main stage with a runway and circle on the end. Upstairs is a separate very small dance area. Many of the tables around the stage are reserved, making it hard to find a place to sit other than at the stage. This was particularly bad later in the night when the place was busy. Once the stage area got full, there was nowhere to sit and standing around feels ridiculous. The drink prices were quite reasonable for Vegas. I don't remember exactly how much they were, but they were far cheaper than what I remember at Sapphire.
The stage performances at Palomino were quite good. Lots of dancing and some interesting, athletic, and/or seductive tricks on the pole. None of the dancers just stood and posed or swayed around. Tips led to some decent attention, but not much interaction. Most dancers appeared for three songs, getting fully nude by the end. Every dancer was attractive, most with natural breasts. Many, though not all, had quite a few tattoos. Earlier in the night the music was tolerable, though it got louder later.
