I decided to try out Boom Boom Room, I've never been here before, and I heard they have black dancers. I arrived on a Tuesday afternoon at around 3:30. I walked in, and there were maybe 8 customers in there, but no dancer was on stage, and there was music playing. Boom Boom Room is kind of a older club, I think it would classify as a dive. I saw one big stage, and there was an area to the left of the stage, which I assume was where lapdances are given. I saw a girl in there giving a Lapdance, the area wasn't super private, but it wasn't too bad. Drink were relatively cheap for dayshift, I got a Coors Light for 2 bucks. As far as the customers I saw quite a few blue collar workers in there, and a couple of business guys in suits.
Finally after 10 minutes a girl came out of the dressing room and went on stage. The girls did two song sets, and most of the girls would climb off the stage and grind on you. There is no DJ, I'm assuming the music came from a jukebox. I didn't see any girls go to a jukebox though. Over the next 20 minutes all the girls that were on shift made their way out. I counted 5 girls. 1 black girl and 4 white girls. They all looked to be in their mid to late twenties. There was one white girl I would rate a 7, and the rest of the girls were in the 5 range. There was no one there I wanted to get a Lapdance from, but I did see some other customers get dances. No one was peeking in during the dances, I actually didn't see a bouncer on shift. I didn't get a Lapdance, so I don't know about prices, but recent reviews suggest 20 or 25 bucks for a Lapdance.
I was bored after 40 minutes, so I left. Boom Boom Room seems like a average Portland club, nothing special. If I ever come back here, it will be during during a weekend night to see how it is then. By the way they post the dancer schedule on their Facebook.
