Now called Tempations. Avoid this club! About as bad of a neighborhood as it gets in York; five blocks west is fine, five blocks east is ok, but this joint is dead center in the worst stretch on Market St. There are signs all around about it being illegal to 'pass this sign more than three times between 9pm and 6am.' This can only mean there are serious problems of some sort in the area.

There were about six cars parked in front of the bar, so I parked across the street about a half block up. People were lurking about in the shadows as I walked to the bar; there seemed to be some sort of a catcall coming from up the street as I entered the doorway. Being unfamiliar with the area certainly did not help matters, but I would note that I have no issue going to clubs in bad neighborhoods in the Bronx (NY), Irvington (NJ), Paterson (NJ), Newark (NJ), Bridgeport (CT); but this area is truly desolate.

You step through two doors, there is a small stage to the left. A small bar to the right, and a small area up three stairs straight ahead. There was one other patron (who was oddly sitting 'upstairs', three dancers, a bouncer and a bartender. I then realized all the employees park right in front of the bar - which reinforces my concerns about the safety of the area - and also seems to endanger the welfare of their clientel.
