Changes for the worse

When I am in the Chicago area, I often stop in Jimmy's to see some friends. Unfortunately, the club continues its downward trend. To make things worse, they implemented a new "VIP" room which is about 3 feet by 6 feet with cameras in it. The dancers keep all the money they make doing dances in the back but have to split the money with the club from the VIP room. How lame of the club to think their dancers will push for the VIP when they have to give 1/2 the money to the club. The customers weren't buying a lot of dances so club management raised the topless dances from $15 to $20 and the nude dances from $25 to $30. The club has also instituted a cover charge for the first time. Now the dancers have even less chance of making money. Some other clubs have reduced their topless dancers to $10 during part of the day. General economic situation is that money is tight and I don't see the club flourishing under this increased rate structure. I expect the dancers income will be dramatically reduced (several are already complaining and talking about going elsewhere). I have seen this type of move before when an owner was going to put the club up for sale. So enjoy the club while your favorite dancers are still there. The club has been going down hill for awhile and these changes will speed up its demise.
