A Friendly Neighborhood Topless Bar

I'm fortunate to travel to South Florida for business a few times a year, and I make it a point to visit the Porthole. This review covers two visits, Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon. The main difference was the number of dancers working--eight or so on Thursday, and about twice that many on Friday.

PP is easy to find, on Sample just east of I-95 in a downscale strip mall. No signage other than the club name--in fact, I noticed that there was a banner advertising package liquor sales (I guess everyone knows about the "girls, girls, girls"). During the day, free parking and no cover. Inside, the main feature is a large bar in an open square where most customers and dancers hang out; the stage is to the left as you enter, with a few tables around it. Straight ahead is the Men's room (complete with troll) and lap dance booths. The $25/song booths are curtained and each has two seats separated by a partition. As other reviewers have mentioned, there are frequent "2 for 1" lap dance specials; the booths fill up during the specials after which everyone seems to go back to the bar for drinks and grab@$$. Overall, the place is "neighborhood dive" clean. Bartenders are efficient and friendly, and the pours are generous.

As usual, the Porthole's "talent" is all over the map. Versus a year ago, there are more AA dancers (my preference) and fewer Caucasian moms. Looks vary widely, from girl next door to one step from the methadone clinic. No beauty queens, but many who are appealing, friendly, and typically "handsy." What I like best about the Porthole is that the dancers circulate and interact with you. If you find one to your liking, it's more than likely the dancer will hang out with you; a few tips go a long way in generating physical affection. Very little pressure from the girls--you can just chill out with a cutie's hand in your crotch, or you can explore the options available. YMMV, but most of the girls are open-minded and accomodating. This visit, I met a new girl on Thursday with whom I enjoyed my time; Friday, it was, "rinse and repeat." Just what the Doctor ordered.
