Boring, even by Fairbanks' standards

I went to Reflections on a Friday night, thinking that the biggest gentlemen's club in town, right next to an Army post, would have some decent action. The place was about half full with most of the guys at the bar, ignoring the girls. For their part, the girls were working equally hard to ignore the guys. No one, patrons or staff, seemed realize that they were in a strip club. It was very surreal.

There was one rather plain looking gal up on stage, dancing half-heartedly to some hip-hop song, but no one was paying her any attention. Not that there would have been much chance for interaction had anyone been interested in her. The stage itself was unusually high, making it awkward to sit at, and even more awkward to tip $1's as one normally does. I sat there anyway for a while, tossing out dollar bills on occasion to little effect. I finally ended up moving to a table and watched several girls dance their numbers in a perfunctory manner (only one even bothered to remove her bikini top) before hopping off stage and disappearing. I was never approached by anyone, never offered a lap dance, never even spoken to by a girl. And it wasn't just me. The girls didn't mix with anyone else that I saw, either.

After about half an hour I just left. It was very weird. Don't bother going to Reflections. The drinks weren't much more expensive than anywhere else in Alaska, but I have no idea how much a private dance costs, if they even exist there. Stick with Show Girls if you are in the FBX area.
