I would say it was a bad experience, but was more of a sad experience!

I think PM Southside is on its way down. The few weekend visits I have made this year have been poor experiences - few dancers and few customers - a couple of times it had been a 1:1 ratio. And just to be clear, I am not talking about odd hour visits. All my visits have been between 9pm - 12am.

Club special features are a big draw for clientele and bring in huge crowds, However, when I visited for a feature on a Saturday evening in August there were less than 25 people. Even the low number of dancers (about 10) were not in line with expectations for a weekend evening. Most were in the 5-7 range.

To make matters worse, the hot dancers hang out with their regulars...and literally hang out! They don't go back for dances -just sit, chat, smoke and drink. Just make the mandatory trip to the stage when the 2 for 1s are called out. I'm not sure how they make money??? One of the dancers eluded to working outside the club and used the club just as a social connection point - to meet potential clients to include in her private party list. Her gripe was that the owner kept a large portion of earnings - through a cover charge, dance cuts and fines which is demotivating to dancers. They'd rather sit and enjoy themselves rather than earn money for the "man".
