Danny's

I arrived at Danny’s about 11:00 p.m. on both Wednesday and Thursday evening after spending some time at Babes across the street. On Wednesday the cover charge was $5. On Thursday, the cover was $3 with $3 beers until 11:30. The regular price for beer was under $5, either $4.25 or $4.75, I can’t remember exactly. Danny’s is definitely the more “upscale” of the two clubs compared to Babes. It is probably three times as big as Babes, and has one large center stage where two or three girls at a time dance, and a couple of stages along the back wall that are used sporadically. It is well decorated and has an upscale look, although the plaster, Greco-Roman statues scattered around are a bit over the top pretentious. Danny’s had a decent crowd on both Wednesday and Thursday evening. The crowd demographics didn’t match the upscale look. It was basically the same blue collar crowd as Babes, just more of it. Dancer quality and quantity was a dramatic improvement over Babe’s. There were several dozen dancers and most were very good looking, in the 8-9 range. TUSCL lists this and Babes as pastie clubs, but there were no pasties to be seen in either Babes or Danny’s. The girls dance topless on stage once they get a couple bucks, and most will not hesitate to flash their pussy, although I didn’t see any getting nude on stage here as I did at Babes. The dance options here a basically the same as Babes: individual non-private private dances, 3 for $100 dances with some alleged real privacy, and half-hour private sessions. The dancers will quote different prices for the individual dances, anything from $30 to $40. Many will try to get $25-30, but they are definitely available for $20 each. Dance quality is very good, with much grinding and touching. As an Atlanta native I am spoiled with the availability of good $10 dances (and I often bring this up as a bargaining point), but $20 to $25 seems to be the norm elsewhere, so I can’t complain about what is available here for the price. I can’t speak to what else you might get with the 3 for $100 dances or the half-hour private sessions as I did not partake. Danny’s is well worth a visit if you are in Jackson, although I experienced a new low in the strip club cash hustle while I was there. Periodically you will be approached by a girl with a jar asking for tips. Not a dancer, not a shooter girl, just a girl walking around asking for tips. I asked her what it was for, and she mumbled something about the music and the DJ. Anyone who has ever been to a strip club more than once in his life knows that the dancers have to tip out the DJ and just about everyone else in the club before they leave, so this was pure bullshit. I have been to a few clubs where, after coming off stage, the dancers will walk around and hit up all the customers for tips, but at least they are asking for a tip for their dance. This was no different than the random bum on the street who walks up and asks you for money. Customers were apparently giving her tips as she had money in her jar, but I just said no and she went away. Despite this, Danny’s is good overall experience and worth a visit.
