Tootsys is now the Red Leopard
Tootsys has been renamed the Red Leopard. It had been quite a while since I last stopped by Tootsys, so I decided to find out if the name change included any improvements. The layout of the club has not changed. After paying the $5 cover at the front door, you come into the main dance area with a good size dance stage with the required pole in the center. There are plenty of tables situated around the stage. I was greeted just inside the entrance by a waitress asking if I'd like to find a table or sit at the bar. I opted for the bar and was quickly served my beverage of choice by an attentive bartender. The beer was $5 plus the tip. Surveying the place, there are a few booths around the main area. The bar runs the length of the left wall as you walk into the main area. The lap dance area is a separate room with comfortable bench seats toward the front of the building beside the bar. Restrooms are in a back hallway. It seems the owner intends to make the Red Leopard a little more upscale than Tootsys was. The men's room includes an attendant ready to squirt soap in your hands almost before you can get you fly zipped. And he was ready with paper towels when you finished washing your hands, with his tip basket waiting for a deposit. This Thursday night there were between 10 and 15 dancers working. Most seemed more interested hanging out with their dancer friends or a few regulars. I was only approached by one dancer. I'd rate most of the dancers in the 5-6 range with one or maybe two 7s, about the same as other clubs in the area. The one dancer that came over and sat down wasn't much of a conversationalist. She didn't seem to be real interested in doing much. Finally after half an hour of just hanging out, I asked her how much for a dance and she told me $20. So we went back to the lap dance room. The lap dance room as I mentioned is separate from the main area and in that respect you can enjoy a little more privacy than you get at other local clubs. When we went back, there was only one other customer getting a dance and the bar was fairly busy for a Thursday night. Lighting in the lap dance room seemed brighter than the main floor, which also reduces your privacy. This dancer was a spinner with some nice natural B-cups and gave a pretty good grind. Contact was pretty good both ways, but as always, YMMV. This being my first trip to the Red Leopard, I didn't press the boundaries. I'm not sure how it would compare to some of the other local clubs. With some of the local competition, your dollar value isn't quite as good. If the dancer quality improves above the competition, the higher dance costs may be worth it. The club warrants a return visit to get more familiar and see how it holds up.
