Not bad

Was in town for a concert on Thursday and it had been 5 years since I had been to a club in GR. Back then the club I attended was all pasties and not very fun and after reading some reviews I was pretty sure not much had changed in the area. Anyway, decided on Parkway tropic, its not a bad drive from downtown but seemed to be in a kind of residential area. Figured out parking, ended up in a parking lot next door to the place that the bouncer said was fine.

Entering, the club is a blue collar joint with a cover, think it was $5. Not to lively probably 20 customers spread throughout. And maybe 8 dancers they were all in the 5-7 range no real beauties. A lot of big corn fed Midwestern hos. The domestics are decently priced so I grabbed a beer and a seat by the stage. The stage takes up a lot of space in the club, starting in the back with a runway running through the middle of the bar. Sat for a beer or 2 while watching a few ladies on stage. Though a few dropped by for the "want a dance" they were all pretty clinical and cold so I passed. Then a dancer who had been at the bar with a group of guys stopped by and had a seat. She was a solid 7 a little older but kind of hot for the club. After a few shots and good conversation she asks if I want a dance since I am there seeing no better options I take her up. The "private" are is not to private its just off stage right and visible to most in that area of the club. But the dances are only $10. This is a very conservative area and the dances are pretty tame. My dancer was fun some grinding and a bare minimum of stick shifting, felt like she pushed the limit as much as possible in the club but it is not going to be much more than a slight tease at this place.

I would not recommend clubbing in this area but if you must this place is worth a run, not a bad time but it is Grand Rapids. Good luck.
