t-shirt dances
This club intrigued me because it has good reviews but the most recent review was over a year old. After striking out at Club Vogue where they weren’t even taking off their tops due to recent police harassment I headed here which is only a short drive down the frontage road. I paid my cover and bought a water right at the door. It was 11pm on a Friday night and the place was about 75% full so I didn’t have trouble finding a table to sit at. Watched about 4 dancers on stage, all were attractive, some would take their top off some would not. Was finally approached by a heavier dancer but she was pretty and proved to be a good conversationalist. Also when I had come in they said they were closing at midnight so I didn’t have much time. She also confirmed that they had been the target of police harassment but said that Club Vogue was the main target. She said some girls were brave enough to take their tops off on stage some were not. She also said the 12:00am closing time was due to these new developments. The girl told me they had bed dances and couch dances in the back. She said the dances were “t-shirt dances” where she would change into a loose fitting t-shirt and my hands were free to explore under the t-shirt but the t-shirt wouldn’t come off. I took her up on the couch dance for $20 a song. The “t-shirt dance” was better than expected (the t-shirt pretty much stays hiked up the entire time) but I still would have preferred a truly topless dance. Anyway, hopefully my experience in Columbia was very much the exception and things get back to normal but the way things are now kind of defeats the purpose of a strip club.
