Sunday fun at XTC

After a great Sunday afternoon visit to XTC last summer, I went again this afternoon from about 2:30 to 4:30 and had another fine time. The club is rather easy to find: just drive about 3 miles east from I-35 on US 290, exit right at Springdale Road, and you will soon see it on the right side at the intersection of Andtree "Boulevard". The immediate neighborhood is a rather sketchy commercial/industrial area, but I didn't feel unsafe at all. I parked by the unimpressive corrugated steel building for free and paid $15 to get in. I had previously procured a fo'ty-ounce Modelo at a tienda, so I was good to go alcohol-wise. (Since the girls dance nude, XTC is a BYOB club.)

The club's website -- www.xtcaustin.com -- advertises various specials on lap dances, such as $10 all day on Sunday and Tuesday and $5 from 7 to 11 p.m. on Monday and Thursday (not to mention nude oil wrestling on Wednesday nights!), but in my limited experience, these bargain dances around the edges of the main room, though nekkid, are pretty lame. The real action, of course, is to be found in the VIP room, which costs $20 for a VIP wristband plus $20 per dance (plus whatever you can arrange with the dancer for the service of your choice).
