Really not a Shill Review

In Minneapolis for a client. Never thought I'd be back this way. Last round, I spent my time at Downtown Cabaret and until this week, thought I had had a good time. SR has only been open since May and seems already well established. Talk on the street (or in the club by the dancers) is it's taking business away from Rick's. I was very happy this was within easy walking distance from my hotel. I was there Tues., Wed., and Friday. Would have gone Thursday but a rain storm kept me indoors, too much to walk it. Too little to cab it. All, good, saved that budget to have more for my last night tonight. Girl's all chatty and friendly though I did go lonely too. Still don't understand how they don't take tipping at the stage as a sign of interest and an easy mark of a PL. I tipped at the satellite stage that's just on the other side of the wall from the entrance. Small little, lonely stage where the dancers come after their turn on the main stage. It afforded me great opportunity to chat a bit and tip for their main stage performance, most of which that I saw had some decent effort put into them.

I thought there was a real nice variety of girls, all and equal amounts of ethnicities, types and ages with some decent lifers in the mix. As a previous review noted, none would make you cast your eyes aside in horror

Rumor has always been that MN is an air dance-no touch town (as was my experience at DTC), SR certainly afforded me a level of contact (and mutual with one particular dancer) equal to or above many other places I've been. YMMV $8 cover was reasonable. $20 gets you a decent dance on the floor. I preferred the tall stool area opposite the bar for mine. I'm not a big fan of being smothered in a sinking chair anymore. $140 is for 15 minutes in these areas behind the DJ booth $260 for a half hour, $500 for an hour - all pretty steep if you ask me (it is Minnesota after all). Have to pay the bouncer in advance, club takes a cut before giving the cash to the girls. The girls I met really did push the rooms, but seemed amicable when I turned them down. I did do a couple of 15min though (on a nice firm cushioned bench seat). Had I known the girl was going to be as ferocious as she was, I would have done the half hour, YMWV. Champagne was available but not required and supposedly if you get it for these rooms, there's a discount on the bottle.
