First Visit Impression - Overall a Decent Club
I was in Rhode Island for business and chose this club over the several that are available in Providence. I went on a Tuesday night, so I wasn't expecting a whole heck of a lot. To me, being an out of towner, it's kind of a hard place to find. You have to pass through a metal detector on your way in and then pay the $5 for entry. As soon as you walk in, a bar is in front and a few seats are to the right. I don't know what else is on that side of the club, because after getting a Bud Light ($5) I went to the left towards the main stage. I was asked by several women for a private dance, and I declined each time as I wanted to have a few beers and settle in. Nearly all of the patrons were away from the main stage and sitting at small tables. To the back of the club was another smaller stage, bar and seating area for larger groups (from what I was told). Dancer quality was OK. I wasn't particularly thrilled with a few dancers having severe smoker's breath, and this was as they were trying to get me to do a private dance with them. It's just not my deal and has no appeal to me whatsoever. One thing that was odd was that the club details on here say it's a nude club, but not one dancer got nude while on stage. I inquired about the VIP room and the sign that showed $25/$35. I was informed that it's $25 topless and $35 nude, but a few dancers said it was only a topless dance. I'm sure this was a personal preference and they didn't want to get full nude.
Since this was my first and likely one of the few times I'd ever be near Providence, I figured I might as well try a VIP. A young lady from Boston (I forget her name) tried hard and was pleasant, but I chose to go with Nina. She's a tall Puerto Rican with a nice bod. I just had 2 dances as 1:00 AM was approaching, and that's when this club closes. That's an odd time to close especially since I come from PA where we have a Liquor Control Board (LCB) that often dictates when certain clubs must close. Most gentlemen's clubs around me that are BYOB stay open to 3:00 AM or later, but those that serve alcohol must close at 2:00 AM. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience here, and I'd recommend visiting. It's a clean, comfortable club and worth a check. I'm in Rhode Island next week, and may visit Club Desire this time ... or might just end up here.
