Ready to give up

I think I am ready to give up on this place. While the place is nice and the drinks a reasonable (less than $5 beer) the dancers just are not pretty enough to be so aloof. The talent is pretty good (mostly 7-8) but not very friendly to anyone but the regulars. I was there late evening (10-ish) ordered some beers, tipped plenty at the rail, but most of the girls would get up for their set, go through the motions, pick up their cash, and go back and sit with whatever fella they had been talking to all night. It wasn't like they were going back to the VIP and getting plenty of cash out of these guys, they just plain were not working the room or even swinging by to thank the guys that were tipping.

I know I'm not tossing $100 bills at the rail, but I was clean, showered, had a collared shirt on and I was trying to behave like a gentleman at the rail. I tried sitting at the bar, sitting at a table and staying at the rail. I was tipping a few gals more than others - Athena was probably the prettiest one there, a solid 9 in anyone's book. Jailyn looked like the naughty librarian with her hair in a bun. There was a short AA girl named Saffron who danced really well. Finally, a couple of hours into this disaster, a kinda chunky brunette - Bailey came and sat with me. She is a smart girl and good conversationalist. We chatted a bit so I asked if I could pose an honest question - if I had done or said something wrong to have been so isolated. She seemed very sincere when she replied "of course not!" So I still don't know. Anyway, I finally took her back for a couple of private dances, and like other times here, the dances in private are nice but nothing special.

There are prettier girls at Spearmint Rhino and the drink prices are not that much higher. If the night is going to be average (or less) then I might as well go where the eye candy is better. I don't think I will be back.
