CH Review #2
Crazy Horse remains a bit of a charming dive, and dishes out inconsistent experiences. I continue to have trouble figuring out whether I should recommend this place or not. Find the right girl and you can have an amazing time. But sometimes, you can't find the right girl, and then the theater seating and dancer quality can get old. I've actually made a few trips here since my last review, both dayshifts. The good news is the surrounding area has gentrified a bit -- the formerly avoid-at-any-costs Turk Street, on which there have been numerous drive-bys, is now cleared, and the corner store that used to be ground central for drug-dealing gangs, is now a little bar/club full of yuppies. I'm sure someone out there will decry the gentrification of the area, but I freaking love it, it makes the somewhat-exciting walk to the club a little less exciting (that's a good thing!). On two of the trips I've made to the club, I didn't really find any girls I liked, and left within an hour. On the third trip, there were at least 2-3 nice looking girls (luck of the draw! for dayshift, your best bet is usually saturday afternoon), and one just blew me away: spent lots and lots of time with me, over-delivered in the VIP, etc. I've made the dancer rating a 6, but there were several 8s and 9s walking around that day. And that's what makes this club perhaps worth a stop on any club crawl -- set your expectations low and plan to hit the next club if it's a no-joy lineup, but it's worth taking the chance because there are some gems here, and with all-nude VIPs, it can be a great time.
