I've been to Ricks DFW about...

I've been to Ricks DFW about four times in the past three years, usually on the way home from somewhere, since the club is off highway 183, less than half a mile from the south entrance to DFW Airport. In terms of physical plant, this is one of the nicer clubs in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. It is a large, well-lighted, white stucco building, with a portico for valet parking (but usually plenty of free parking is available) Cover was $10 on this Saturday night at around 9:15 p.m. A nice touch was that the girl who took the cover charge radioed the manager to tell him a party of one was coming in; he met me at the door and asked where I wanted to sit. I think this is also a way to make the manager aware of patron traffic flow, who the are, and what they look like.

As you go into the spacious club, the bar is on the left, the center stage with pole is straight ahead, and there is an unused second bar to the sharp right. The main stage is in a sunken area with several tables. You can sit at the bar or at a table near the stage. There are also several tables above the sunken area. There is more than one pole stage, but I've never seen more than one in use. The dancers do a two-song set, with the second set theoretically topless, but some of the girls don't take their tops off even on the second song.

Beers were $7.50, soft drinks $4.50. I didn't get anything harder than a beer. Just as on previous visits, the girls like to give lap dances on a bench over near the unused bar to the right of the entrance. But this night the club was fairly busy and that lap dance area was crowded. On this occasion I got a couple of good hands-on lap dances from a very nice Vietnamese girl (who was impressed when I guessed her ethnicity on the first try). Later, I was going to get a lap dance from a very nice Latina, but the lap dance area was too full. We discussed getting a private room, which costs $50 (or a bottle) and a minimum $200 1/2 hour block for the dancer. It was hinted that extras were available in there, but limited to HJs. YMMV. An interesting thing about this Latina was that she was sporting a large wedding diamond, not hiding her marital status at all. The funny thing was that the last time I was at this particular establishment, a different old married gal also wanted to upsell me to the private HJ area. So this club seems to be married-chick friendly, and have a fairly stable and expensive extras menu. I think the quality of the dancers, just in terms of looks, seems to have slipped slightly in the past three years. At first it was solid 7-8s on average; now it really seems more like 6s.
