Scruples is a club near the...

Scruples is a club near the Neshaminy Mall. It's down a small pathway just down the street from the mall. It is a little bit hidden, so it is hard to find if it is the first time you have been there. But, once you are down there your car is pretty well hidden. (Unless a car just happens to speed by on Route 1 while you are parking.) The inside of the club is Ok. It kind of feels like a parent's basement from the 70s. I'm not saying there actually is wood paneling. (I don't remember. is there?) But, it would truly fit in if there was. The place is cozy, but not too small that you feel like you are right on top of other people at the bar.

I think I must have picked a bad night to come to the bar. Aside, from the bartender who was extremely friendly and came up to talk to me for awhile, I didn't talk to anyone the entire time I was in the place. Girls were dancing, and walking around, but none of them took the time to say hello, or even request a tip. Now, the bartender saw and talked to me, so clearly I wasn't invisible. But, on this night to the dancers I was. So, while they were very attractive physically, I only was able to find that out from a distance, so I discounted points for that.

Would I go back? I guess. Maybe after a day of heavy shopping or something. But, it's truly not high on my list of places to return. I liked the vibe when I first entered, and in spite of my making fun of the place and calling it a "parent's basement", I thought it could be a fun place to be. But, the standoffishness of the dancers left something to be desired. Maybe I just hit the bar at a bad time. I wouldn't say it's the worst place I have ever been to. (Those places feel more like crypts and less like basements.) So. Again. Will I return? Maybe - That's the best I can do. I feel like the place could be better on a different night, and it would be fun to find out.
