Dragged my sorry butt down to Paper Moon this past weekend. I had time to kill so I went early, but they didn't open until sometime after 8, so I had to suffer through an hour at Pure Pleasure. Unfortunately the Moon (southside) wasn't much better. It got off to a really slow start. The girls seemed like they were dragging, the crowd was sparse, the DJ wasn't doing anything to pump up the atmosphere. Maybe the Tech game was keeping everyone home. Stupid new 2-for-1 policy of charging $25 for two $20 dances. Cover $12. Imported beer $7. The only thing that made the evening worthwhile were the two dances I got from Leah, a tall thin short-haired girl who moved nicely and made me feel welcome. I was glad to escape to the northside.
