Why do men go to strip clubs? Most go for sexual stimulation and gratification. In New York's good old days of freedom, before hypocritical Tyrant Giuliani ("mayor morality") closed all the clubs, there were several at which nothing was done to hide this fact. Guys went there to get satisfying "lap dances" - safe sex at a reasonable price. Manhattan's Harmony club was the best, as I remember it. The women knew what you were there for and delivered it. If they didn't - teases, game players, scammers, etc. - they were out fast. I once complained to management about one such and that was her last day there.

Some of today's clubs are OK, but nothing is as it used to be back then. Peyton's in Brooklyn is my favorite, but it shows just how bad things are compared to how they once were. I usually go on weekday afternoons, and know a few ladies there that are glad to please. You get tired of the same over and over though, so I went on a recent Wednesday night after 8:00 (when the shift changes) to see how it was at night.

No admission charged, and no one bothered me to keep buying drinks as they do in the afternoon when the place is nearly empty of patrons. I was searched on entering as the bouncers didn't know me. More women there than in the afternoon, and there was a good crowd of customers after 9:00 or so. Unlike in the afternoon, the women were not at all aggressive - none came over to me to solicit a lap dance. I was there for over 2 hours, but I left disappointed. Very few, almost no guys were getting lap dances, and I soon found out why.
