Finally stopped in to check this...

Finally stopped in to check this place out. It's not called Solid Gold anymore, it's Texas Something Something. Paid my cover to a very strange door guy and headed on in. Club layout is long and narrow, with pole to the left and private dance booths to the right. I walked in and immediately struck up a conversation with one of the dancers. As I had other plans, I could not stay too long so I took her for a private, which was fantastic. I will be back to get more dances and spend time with her.

I only spent about 25 minutes in the club, but the only real downside for me was location. It's in a very touristy/downtown-y area, and that seems to make for a lot of traffic of groups of dudes. I prefer my clubs a little more low-key. I only saw about five girls working other than the one I had my dance with. My guess is that it might get hard to strike up a chat with a girl when it gets more crowded. Will definitely return.
