I was looking for some daytime...
I was looking for some daytime diversion on a planned long-distance road trip, and decided to try J.B.'s based on a few reports on TUSCL of high mileage. My visit went from wait, what? to OMG. I'll explain.
I arrived about 3:00 p.m. and got out of my car the same time a dancer was arriving for work. She was cute and super-friendly, and we walked in together. There was not a soul there except the bartender, so I sat at the bar. The dancer said to give her five minutes to get dressed and she' be out to dance for me. The bartender (a nice young woman) called her over and they had a brief conversation, after which the dancer came over and said "Well, it was nice to meet you" and walked out the door. Wait, what?
I said to the bartender, "I walked in with the only dancer here, and now she’s gone??" She explained that the manager had left word that when the dancer came in, she was to be told she can't work here anymore. Apparently the last shift she had worked, she had either left with a customer or had made arrangements for OTC activity, "which is not allowed." I had never witnessed a stripper firing and was shocked at the total lack of drama associated with it.
