I stopped in for a special event; the fetish model Rubber Doll was making an appearance. I caught her last year at the Northeast location and she put on a hell of a show so I figured it would be an even better time at the posher Delaware Ave location on a Friday rather than a Thursday. The place was certainly more busy, though she went on a solid 2 hours later than advertised. I haven't been here on a Friday or Saturday in a long time but I honestly don't think the appearance increased the crowd all that much. There were one or two patron who were clearly there for her but the rest probably would have been there either way. Rubber Doll did but on a pretty good show, it was a lot more interesting that most feature dancers/ porn stars who do pretty much the exact same thing that every other dancers does. Rubber Doll borders on burlesque. Props, clearly a whole planned out routine. Pretty entertaining. It turns out, though, that seeing it at the Northeast location is a bit of a better experience (IMO). The size of the Delaware Ave Risque works against it a bit and, even though the crowd is smaller (less popular location and a Thursdays), it is more of an interactive and intimate experience at the Northeast Risque.

So, tl;dr:

Give Club Risque Northeast a chance if you feel like checking out one of the feature acts that comes through the Risque chain of club. If you want to make a night of it any other time head for Delaware Ave.
