At least you can say that...

At least you can say that the City of Newport is winning. The Brass Ass and its sister club across the street are just about done. Stopped by the other night at both locations and was shocked how these bars have let themselves go. Broken chairs that have been around for over 20 years, the same old drink hussle, but now the average age of dancers this night had to be in their very late 30's. There were a couple of overweight AA that may be still in their 20's but they never moved, just sat at a table and stared at their phones. Zombie dancers, or should I say zombie sitters.

I heard from one of the girls that management has run off most of the younger ones that may have been too aggressive with customers, or just too stoned when they came to work. Either way, it's like a strip club for senior citizens. Most of the customers were in the 55+ category. So when you are in your 70's, that 48 year old stripper looks good. Not for me. And really should not be for anyone else. Except for Newport, because these two clubs will soon be closed.
