Stopped in at the Cleveland bar...

Stopped in at the Cleveland bar after a years absence. Well they did some light remodeling. No more countless Marilyn Monroe pictures. The bartop dancing is gone as they removed the overhead bar and poles. Dancing is now done on the small stage. They painted the worn out laminate bartop, added some better over-the-bar lighting, reinstalled carpet over the old hardwood floors, and put up a solid privacy wall for VIP dances near the entry. Cover now is $5 (pricey for the neighborhood and dancer quality).

The day I went, it was dead due to construction work on W. 25th that eliminated all street parking. So you either have to get lucky and find a space behind the building off the back alley (about 3 spaces), or park your car about 100 yards south in the Blood Clinic parking lot (after business hours only). The construction work is supposed to go on until the fall, so lots of luck.

The 4-5 dancers were no better than a 4.
