I visited The Playhouse on a recent Monday night, just after 9pm. It was close to my hotel, and had grown weary of the other haunts I had frequented so I tried it out on a whim. The parking lot is clean and well lit, close to the road, not sketchy at all. The building is non descript from the outside - and one thing to note is doesnt open until 5, nor is it open on Sunday's. Cover was typical $5
The interior is adequate, not opulent but not a dive. There is a bar to the left, a pool table and bathrooms beyond (didnt check those out so can't comment on the cleanliness). I waited at the bar for a beer -$3? Maybe, then found a seat. There were probably 15 patrons, and although I had no issue finding a seat it felt cramped. There is a small main stage in the center and two peripheral stages that were not occupied. Dancers did a standard 2 song rotation, second song topless. A dollar gets a nice face full of fun, but you have to awkwardly stand to the side as the dancer gets around to you. The dancers were ok to good 5-7s, mostly going through the motions but an occasional winner every now and then. After being on stage a few would circulate through the crowd, but most posted up with what o presume were regulars. The few that did circulate were very aggressive requesting dances. One who I made it clear I was not interested early on still sat down and stayed for over 10 min. Usually I don't mind, but I was in the mood for just some quiet eye candy and this somewhat ruined it. I finally excused myself and she insisted on some money for her time since I didn't buy a dance - she got a dollar.
Overall it wasn't bad, I would go back. No one samples the dances while I was there - they are right out in the open which I detest. Give The Playhouse a whirl if you want some low key action. It's clean, safe, and maybe a bit too sterile for a stripclub, but not a bad place to kill an hour if you are around.
