I had a free night and headed back to the Wheel to spend a little time getting reacquainted with the place. I've seen the declining ratings, but it's not like there are much better alternatives in the area, and I've always liked the vibe at the Wheel the best. I got there at about 1045 and there were 15 customers and 10 dancers in the place, which would seem to be decent odds for the patron. A recent review mentioned a $50 cover, which is either a mistake or the entry has increased from the $40 it's been for years. I still had a valid membership card, so my entry was $25, with the change paid in all singles. I entered and nobody was behind the bar, but as i approached a dancer who was sitting at the rail asked what I needed and when I told her a cup of ice, she headed behind the bar. Before she could get there though, the bartendress appeared from the entry booth behind the bar as if by magic and grabbed me a full cup of ice. I have no idea how she heard me ask or how she appeared so fast. It was as if by magic. The red solo cup full of ice was $2.

I grabbed a seat in the main area and started to scope out the scene. There were a few guys there in pairs, and everyone else were single guys. All 10 girls were white, and mostly brunettes with one or two blondes. 7 of the girls were typical Players Club girls (in a good way) with tight bodies and good attitudes on stage. No enhanced ladies on this evening. The other three were not unattractive, just not necessarily my type. I sat for 45 minutes or so and only one dancer approached me. She was a riot and we had a good rapport, but she wasn't my type so I declined her offer for a dance. I was second guessing myself because nobody else seemed interested in approaching for dances. This was consistent with my last visit a few months ago, which I overcame by approaching the dancers on stage and asking them to stop by. The lack of dancers approaching customers is a problem and a change from what I remembered and liked about the place. Now that it's happened to me twice in a row and has been reported in the TUSCL reviews, I'm going to have to ask the next time I come in. The 15 guys in the place weren't getting a whole lot of dances either. They were doing some stage tipping and maybe one or two at a time were heading into the back. That can't be good for business.

I'm not a regular here as I only come in 2-4 times a year, but I had gotten to know a few of the girls and never had a problem getting dances. Most of the dancers I knew are no longer here though, so I was basically a stranger. Two of the well reported girls were here on this night, London and Corrine. I only saw Corrine on stage. As soon as she stepped down, she must've sat with customers as she didn't circulate. I tipped London a couple of times and she flirted a bit. The second time I tipped her she gave me a very close look and teased me with some very precise contortions and then joked about the view. After two tips at her stage dances she came by and we chatted. She's a pretty fun girl and we had a good time. I went for a few dances with her and they were very good, though they add up at $30 per. No upsell to the VIP. She was called to the stage to do 2 songs, one on each stage, so I sat back in the crowd to chill. When she finished her stage set, we went back to the lap dance area for some more dances and stayed until closing.
