This is the third installment of my Hi-Liter -> Bourbon Street Circus -> Hi-Liter day and night in Phoenix. There isn't an easy way to link to the earlier two reviews in this review, but if you're interested you can find them by looking under my profile, or going to the club links and looking at the reviews I posted on February 13, 2015. I wore shorts, flip flops and a t-shirt during the day. Same for the night with fresh clothes and had a short sleeve button down instead of the t-shirt. My casual clothes did not dissuade any dancers from paying attention to me that I could tell.
After getting some very solid, but generally clean, dances at BSC from a stunning girl, I decided I wanted to head back to Hi-Liter for something more... Hi-Literish. The nighttime experience was certainly different from the daytime. I'd been to Hi-Liter at night once before and had a great time. This night was also very good, but maybe a little more extreme in highlighting the differences (pun, definitely intended!) at night from the day. I'll focus on those differences.
First difference is the cover. I think it was $9 though when I look at the TUSCL summary of the club it says $10. By the same token, I don't think I paid a daytime cover at all though the TUSCL profile says it's $5. Anyway, after paying the cover I got wanded and patted down by the bouncer, which didn't happen during the day. He didn't ask me to turn out my pockets. Instead, he said "What's that? Wallet, iPhone and piece of gum?" He was dead right after a pretty quick pat down, so I laughed and told him I was impressed. His response: "My job sucks." I laughed again and headed inside.
