On a stop-over in Bangkok I visited Baccara on a recommendation from a friend. Baccara is pretty similar to all the other Go-Go bars in Soi Cowboy and Nana Plaza but with a few noticeable differences. Firstly, it has been kitted-out to a very high standard and it must be one of the plushest bars in the area - very clean, lots of neon and great seating and lighting. Secondly, the price of the drinks, which are quite a bit higher than the rest but still way lower than European/US standards. The third and fourth differences are the most import though and that is the number and quality of the dancers... About 20 girls on two different stages doing their thing; all of them 7+.

Like all other Go-Go bars though the dancing was pretty lame with the girls shuffling from one foot to another looking spectacularly bored. There is nowhere for a private dance at Baccara so unless you're in the market for a "take out" then it's probably worth a couple of drinks before moving on.
