Okay on Friday night - hit a few clubs and dropped some serious cashola - so I had pre-decided that Saturday was hit the casino night and go home early. Then of course it hits around midnight and I was still bored as hell - or it could have been that I was playing poker next to this amazing AA girl all night - that I had a zero shot with. Unfortunately, she has a boyfriend - real nice guy I am informal friend of. So I am sure it was her that influenced my decision to hit the Porthole Pub in Pompano on this night. This club is well documented in previous reviews on layout. Parking was $2 and cover was $5 - very reasonable. I got to the club around 1AM and it was full. I was amazed there were at least 25 dancers on shift and the place was hopping. This is the best trip I have ever had to the Porthole in terms of dancer quality. I was also surprised to see the dancer mix which was predominantly AA in the past had improved with a few 7 rated white girls. It seems from what I hear from the dancers - there has been a change in management and some girls that had beefs with the previous Manager had come back to work at the club. Had a few rounds with three different AA girls with ten dollar dances - amazing mileage. Dances in the back curtained cubicles are $25. They also have a vip room - I think $150 plus dancer fees for services rendered between you and the dancer. They had frequent two for one dance offers in the booths but it was so packed I didn;t partake and just settled for the lap dances by the bar - only ten dollars. The two for one dances are in curtained cubicles that you share with another custy and dancer - can get a little hairy (sort of speak) when you got a weirdo sharing one side of the cubicle with you. So I decided it was a floor dance night. I found the dancer attitude at this club very good and management presence obvious. The only down side to this bar late at night on the weekends is after 2:30ish it can get heavy gangsterish - not as bad as Miami clubs but on this night pretty close. The club is fairly small and it was close to capacity by closing at 4AM. They had one obnoxious drunk customer which security handled quickly with and involuntary departure head first through the front door. Extras are available here in this club depending upon the dancer. Overall, I had a good time - even though the thug atmosphere was a little tense by the very end of the night. So much for staying home and saving a few dollars!! As so many have said before - Porthole is the right club if you have the right expectations. The club is not the Ritz Carlton but usually good for a good time.
