I found myself in this sketchy neighborhood. The close proximity to the airport was probably this club's saving grace during its heyday. That was some decades ago. You have choices for mediocre fast food and bars within walking distance. While you may be let down by the Vu's atmosphere, you won't have to go hungry.
Yes, the parking lot is not terribly well lit as some others have summed up. The entrance is indeed nondescript to the south (facing the parking lot) as opposed to the door to the east facing the road, that one threw me for a bit when I first tried to make my way in. The talent is typical Vu chain fare, mostly in the early 30's, mostly unenthusiastic stage shows, and largely uninspired private performances. I don't blame the girls though, it is dreary in this loud and dark venue. The private area is hardly private, merely off to the side of the main room with no walls or dividers.
Those looking for hot young talent or dirty deeds (usually not in one stop) will probably have to head into the city. The better clubs these days are mostly found north on Lake City or Aurora. For those stuck in the south side, it's probably this or Sin Rock in Renton. Outside of the twice a year feature dancer, I can't see any reason for enthusiasts to drop in. If you have to see titties or die, this will have to do.
