I arrived shortly before 7PM on...

I arrived shortly before 7PM on a Saturday night and there was no cover charge. I walked in and sat next to the stage. There was only one other customer next to the stage, and a couple dozen scattered around the outside of the club and upstairs. There were about 15 dancers working. At some clubs, when you tip a dancer on stage she rubs her tits in your face or something, but here they just say “thanks.”

I sat down for a while, tipped some dancers, got a lap dance, and returned to my seat for a while more before a waitress came to ask if I wanted a drink. I got a Corona for $8.75 plus tip. I asked one of the dancers if there was a drink minimum and she said technically you’re supposed to buy two drinks per hour but often times they don’t really enforce it. Maybe if the place is packed they want to boot out customers who aren’t buying drinks. If you drank two drinks per hour and stayed for two hours or more, you’d be too drunk to drive home unless you’re a pretty big guy. Seems like a bad policy but they didn’t enforce it. I only bought one drink in about two hours and they didn’t keep pestering me to buy more drinks, which was nice.

Dress code: I wore a collared shirt but I saw several people in T-shirts. It didn’t seem like they were enforcing much of a dress code that night.
