During my five or six years...
During my five or six years of TUSCL membership I have written 62 reviews of 62 clubs. However, I haven't been to a new club in about five months, so for the first time I'm going to write a second review of a club. Club Rio is as good a choice as any since it has moved into the inner circle of clubs that I visit on a regular basis, in this case every month or two.
For many years Brad's Brass Flamingo was my go-to club in Indianapolis. It had the perfect combination of an early opening time, many hot and friendly dancers, and $10 lap dances all day to keep me coming back for more. However, the Flamingo has pretty much lost my business by screwing up a good business model. Dance prices since Indy hosted the Super Bowl a few years ago have gone from $10 to $12 to $20 (all the time), then back to $12 between noon and two, and now back to $20 at all times. Consequently in 2014 I visited Club Rio about ten times, Dancers about eight times, and the Flamingo . . . twice!
As I have previously mentioned, Club Rio is on Gemco Lane just north of the section of West 38th Street between I-465 and Lafayette Road. The city is trying to market the area within a mile of the old Lafayette Square mall (now mostly dead) as the "International Marketplace", and there are indeed restaurants nearby with everything from Mexican and Central American to Caribbean, Nigerian, Egyptian, Indian, and East Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese) food.
