I think I hit this place...

I think I hit this place on a really off night, but I don't think weeknights are really going to be all that exciting at this place anyway. I got in around 9pm, walked in, and saw one other customer who was literally fall-down drunk, two bouncers, the bartender, and one dancer who sidled up to me immediately. The dancer told me there was another girl giving a dance in the lap dance area, and there was supposed to be another girl working who didn't bother to show up. Nobody was on stage. So, I'd guess 3 girls with sporadic stage dancing is the norm for a Wednesday. It looks like they're still trying to get the operation going after taking over from Chubby's North last year - the dancer I talked to was pretty new and she said the girl who didn't show up was new as well.

The club is located by the side of US 29 between Stanley and Thorp, and is super-easy to find and right off the road. There's a lit parking lot that I couldn't determine the exact size of since it hadn't been plowed, but it supposedly includes truck parking. The building is done up as a Northwoods lodge log cabin kind of thing and is actually really nice, but I didn't really see anything other than the main room. As you enter, the bar lines the left side of the room, there's a little game room around the corner to the left, and the main room extends off to right. The stage takes up a large portion of the room and has three poles and a step in it. There's a tip rail all the way around with more seating outside of that. The lap dance area is directly across from the entry, but I didn't end up going in there. I guess Chubby's closed pretty quickly, so everything is still pretty new and the lighting system for the stage is pretty top notch.

Normally, they have a cover-free happy hour from 4-7, but I guess since it was so dead they were waiving the cover and I didn't have to pay anything. They were running a special on Leinie's Octoberfest for $2 a bottle, so I had a couple of those. I didn't end up getting any dances, so the "value" rating is based solely on those factors - excellent prices, but not much of an experience to go with it.
