A recent Friday night visit. I don't think I've ever been charged a cover. I think my beer was $6. Three dancers visible, ranging from a 4 to a 6, one on stage, two inseparable from their regulars, one white and two black. I was about to leave when an older girl, not fat but big butt, pretty face, started talking and was funny and entertaining. I took her in back not expecting much. The LD area is an undivided space with no privacy, but it didn't seem like anyone would bother us considering there were almost no customers (at 11:00 on a Friday night!). Turns out pretty much everything was available, I indulged and was satisfied, and the price was incredibly cheap. She actually undercounted the songs, which were fairly long and uncut.
This is not the kind of place you'd settle in to for an evening. If you're on your way somewhere else and want to spend an hour or so, less than $100, and leave "happy" then this could be your place. I think I still prefer Bogart's or H8 for bottom-of-the-barrel entertainment. The advantage to the Chapeau is that it's never busy, and is more convenient to the northern suburbs.
